Alternative Night Out: Couples

melted pleasure
A 2 Hour In-Person or Virtual Couples Experience
Is your body getting in the way of enjoying intimacy?
Does your back or neck hurt after sex?
Do you have trouble getting your body into positions that would be enjoyable?
Do you struggle with settling down and getting your body ready to be physically intimate?
It’s Time for Safe Sex: Take Care of Your Body Before You Take Care of Each Others’
So, I don’t know about you, but as we have gotten older, my husband and I are definitely feeling the aging effects on our bodies! We laugh together sometimes as we both hobble off the bed, holding our low back or neck, refreshed from the experience, and completely and utterly sore.
Then, waking up in the morning stiff and uncomfortable...
Isn’t sex supposed to be a restorative experience?
Finding the MELT Method has been a game changer for our intimacy. Not only has MELTing supported and expanded our abilities to access pleasure individually in our bodies and together, it overall reduces and helps prevent chronic pain.
The MELT Method is science backed self care that enhances mobility, stability and performance in your body. Working with small rubber balls and large soft rollers, MELT restores your fascia (the supportive connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, organ, bone, blood vessel, and nerve fiber in your body) to a healthy supportive state.

As someone who is super hypermobile, my bendiness is often helpful in the moment, but I pay for it after any kind of activity (particularly sex!). MELTing before my husband and I are intimate is something that dramatically supports the stability of my joints, particularly in my hips.
For my husband, who has a physical job and tends to hold a lot of chronic tension in his shoulders and upper back, MELTing helps create more space and fluidity in his system, so he can move with more ease and without pain!
Why MELTed Pleasure?
I created this 2 hour couples experience because I seriously believe that sex and intimacy with our partners can be a HUGE resource in our lives that supports us THRIVE. The more oxytocin chemicals we are producing, the less space there is for stress hormones.
We are happier, more patient, and have more capacity to navigate the challenges that surface.
Oftentimes our pain, discomfort or body’s reactions can get in the way of us actually enjoying the space with our partners. This can sometimes lead us to avoiding intimacy or not desiring it.
To experience pleasure we have to be able to really drop into a receiving space with our bodies. If we are in pain, that is going to cause more tightness and automatic responses from our bodies of gripping and protection.
Certainly makes it harder to get in the mood!
(We can want it all we want to in our minds, but if our bodies are feeling a certain way, there is no amount of thinking that is going to change your body’s response!)
When you work with certain MELT sequences, like the Rebalance Sequence, doing the moves on the roller brings your body into the parasympathetic state. It helps all of your tissues settle and relax.
When we take the time to MELT before we connect, I find my body is WAY more ready to drop into receiving my husband.
MELT has been a key component of support on my journey healing chronic pain and helping my body and system down regulate and open up to pleasure and intimacy (after years of pain with sex). I want everyone to know about the healing magic and science of MELT!

Some of the benefits that I have personally experienced as a result of MELTing regularly:
I don’t get up AT ALL in the middle of the night anymore (preMELT, I was getting up 3-5 times a night)
I don’t wake up with back pain anymore
I don’t hurt all the time
If I have a long day and do too much for my body, I can immediately get on the roller for a Rebalance sequence and it at least takes the edge off of the discomfort (mostly it takes the pain completely away).
I no longer have plantar fasciitis
My joints have more stability
I get longer relief in between any treatments I receive from practitioners (chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, etc)
I recovered from wrist surgery the fastest my surgeon had ever seen
I can get my body in the mood to connect with my husband and be more open and ready much faster
Some outcomes my clients have reported with MELTing regularly:
better balance
no pain/reduced discomfort while intensely training for athletics (gymnasts, runners, martial artists, swimmers, etc)
faster recovery time from injuries and surgeries
reduction in anxiety and feeling more comfortable in the body
more access to feel/sense their bodies
more restorative sleep cycles
consistent menstrual cycles
experiencing more easeful digestion
consistently less pain in body overall with folks who navigate chronic pain
