may energies: patience and illumination

Tapping into the energy for the month, May’s energetic message and theme for us all is:

PATIENCE and ILLUMINATION

Every January I have a practice of feeling into the energies of the upcoming months and I pull a card to represent the energetic themes for each one. For May I pulled the Illumination card from Denise Lynn’s Sacred Destiny Oracle Deck. 

I have also been playing and working more closely with the Jewish calendar this year (it began in Sept 2021), which is organized around the moon cycles (Brilliant!). This new moon on May 2 began the month of Iyar and it is considered the Moon of HEALING. In the materials I have been exploring* from Kohonet Ketzirah’s writing and also the Verdant Dreams of Olam HaBa Planner, I’ve learned each month carries a Soul Trait energy. It is no surprise to me that this month’s soul trait is PATIENCE.

My thoughts below are inspired by the card, the description in deck, the month’s soul trait and also the energy and channeled message from my initial reading at the beginning of the year that came through me for May. 

We are in the Spring growing season. With any growth cycle, it requires a particular kind of PATIENCE and trust that the organic life force within each creation will reach its full potential. There is divine timing at play before the flowering will be illuminated.

May is inviting us to trust the unseen support available to us as we are on our unfolding journey. You are in the middle of a significant spiritual expansion. Mist can often represent the entrance to or the veil separating the unseen realms. The rising mist on the mountains is a sign from your guides, spirit protectors and ancestors that they are close by offering support. 

Whatever question you are holding, the answer will be revealed. Trust that the illumination will unfold over the month in divine timing. Even if you can’t see completely what is in front of you or the whole picture is not visible yet, trust that you are supported and headed in the right direction.

Note the breadcrumbs and synchronicities that are showing up to alert you that you are on the most aligned path. What animals, colors, symbols, oracle cards, images are repeatedly surfacing in your waking and dream realms?  

Spend time this month noticing the sensations you experience, when something feels deeply resonate in your energy and body. The more we intentionally bring our attention to these energies, the easier it will be to recognize them when they show up subtly in our bodies.

How can you sync into and trust that you are protected during this illumination period? This process requires patience. What does patience feel like in your body? 

When we are wanting a specific answer or desiring to be headed to a particular destination, but are not there yet, it can be easy to fall into patterns of sensing urgency and doubt. The energies this month are here to reassure you that:

You are protected

You are supported

It will all be illuminated in divine timing

Don’t lose hope

Hold your vision

And, seeing as this is also considered the month of healing, we can invite similar sentiments of patience and trust into our self healing and collective healing practices. 

Patience is REQUIRED if we want to resolve dis-ease in our systems. It is so easy to get frustrated and doubt our bodies capabilities and crave a specific timing and outcome. This month is a potent time to surrender and allow our natural healing process to take over. Trusting in the timing and in the unseen realms and guides to provide that additional support and protection you need right now to amplify your healing.
