The Thriving card was created by Denise Lynn and is a part of her Sacred Destiny Oracle Deck. I pulled the The Death card from Mermaid Tarot by Leeza Robertson. My thoughts below are inspired by the cards, the description in decks, and also the energy and channeled message from my initial reading at the beginning of the year that came through me for April.
I think it is brilliant that the DEATH card showed up with THRIVING! What a contrast and yet, one clearly leads to the other.
April is inviting us to think about:
What needs to die in this particular transformation cycle that will create more space for you to move towards your experience of THRIVING? What pattern, habit, behavior, thought, choice, commitment, etc, can you let go of during this month, so that you can feel more into the you that is becoming this Spring? How can you honor and allow this death?
What does THRIVING mean to you? How does it feel in your body and in your life when you are THRIVING?
Each of us requires unique support that speaks directly to us and our needs in order to access this experience of THRIVING. Many times when we’re not feeling like we are THRIVING, something needs to shift and change in order to help support us to move more towards how we want to feel.
The THRIVING card has an image of the Baobab Tree from the African savanna. This tree is considered to be the “tree of life” and is over 200 million years old (talk about resilient!). It stores the water in its massive trunk during the rainy season so that in the dry season it can bear its fruits when the land is in need. A powerful symbol!
Even in challenging times, transition, or complexities, where do you access your resources deep within?
Objectively holding this both/and contrast of DEATH and THRIVING, allows the energy to alchemize within us.
This month invites us to revisit the practices that lead us to increased vitality, nourishment, presence and contribute to our overall well being. What small choices can you make this month to support your DEATH and THRIVING unfolding?
