I spent the first 30 years of my life completely checked out and disconnected from my body. 

My body was not a comfortable or safe place to spend time in (I was sick a lot as a kid and holding a lot of my parents’ trauma) and so my super intelligent body helped me cope by learning how to check out of it.

My brain was able to kick into superdrive and I got really good at wearing masks, playing roles and going through the motions. 

Our body’s biological wiring for safety dictates our behaviors and coping patterns. 

The strategies that develop over the years are our body’s way of trying to protect us the best it can.

Our addictions, distortions, habits, behaviors and patterns all develop from our body trying to find some resemblance of protection and self soothing.

Now, as we bring more conscious awareness to how we actually want to be showing up in our lives and identifying the patterns and behaviors that are getting in the way, we have to reclaim our connection to the body.

We have to start to learn what it feels like to be present with and live in our body.  

Our body’s truth that is underneath the roles, masks, thoughts, patterns, overwhelm, and/or other people’s energy and expectations, etc

Reconnecting to our body is how we come back into alignment and become more present in our lives. 

It’s how we access our inner knowing and truth. 

How we sense what we actually feel separate from someone else.  

By reconnecting with my body I was able to wake up to my life, and tend to the ways my body was screaming (chronic illness and pain). 

I was so stuck in autopilot, going through the motions of do-ing and being it all, I couldn’t see or sense what was vying for my attention deep within me.  

Through learning how to bring my body back online, I began to access what was actually true for me, so that I could take the steps to reclaim my life.
