the challenges of taking space for self

It was really challenging to create space for myself at the beginning.
To go from always putting everyone’s needs, schedules, demands in front of my own sense of self, to flipping that around by starting to identify what I needed and to actually claim empty space to be with myself and honor what was being communicated, was messy.
Whether I was taking 5 minutes, an afternoon or an overnight alone I had a ton of mom guilt.
Whether I was choosing a coaching appointment, healing session or tea with a girlfriend, the guilt came up.
When I was working or doing something I could label “for work,” it was easier for me. For some reason that “justified” the space I was taking. Taking space just for myself, wasn’t something I did.
As much as I wanted to be taking these spaces just for myself, at the beginning it helped the part of me who felt guilty, to think about taking space alone as something that was IN SERVICE to my kids.
Looking at it with this twist, made it easier to say yes to myself and helped me to put up more boundaries to support my edges and limits.
When I take space for myself it does serve my children. I am a more patient human being. I have more energy. I get to reset after being chronically overstimulated, so I have more capacity to be on with my kids.
Overtime, I started to see and deeply feel the significance of the spaces away as something that was essential for my health, healing, wellbeing and creativity. They were changing my baseline nervous system. They began to open up opportunities for my system to be in integration moments and big expansion across all layers of being.
These spaces (daily, weekly, monthly), were resetting my whole system/body/mind/emotions and giving me my life force back.
I started to choose myself little by little, over and over again. It wasn’t just for my kids. This was for me.
The fact that space alone creates more capacity to be with my kids and in my family is an added bonus. Ultimately, time away and dropping into spaces just for ME nourishes the very heart and soul of who I am.
I deserve to be nourished. We all do. Simple as that.
This is why I have dedicated my business to supporting others in creating spaces for healing, integration and expansion.
These spaces are ESSENTIAL for our most vibrant essence, health and wellbeing AND support our ability to show up for our selves, children and family.
We have to choose into prioritizing creating them. Again and again.

This is an intentionally curated 2 night, 3 day restorative retreat for your Body and Being to reconnect with yourself at your core, release what is no longer needed, and amplify your essence.
𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:
Accommodation for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) solo at an Airbnb in Western MA
6 hours total of in person 1-1 healing, integration and expansion support with me on location
(including ritual, hands on healing, MELTing, divination and oracle play and more magick!).
45 minute virtual session before the retreat to discuss focus/intention for the weekend
Spaciousness for YOU
2 Breakfasts and tea and snacks throughout
2 weeks of voxer/text support M-F post healing weekend
30 minute follow up/closing call after retreat weekend
