what do you know that you're pretending not to know?

Sara Vatore

What do you know that you’re pretending not to know?

What is actually true for you right now?

These questions have been front and center for me this month as I take on more of the day to day responsibilities of managing my father’s business and continue to run my own business.

There is a lot “to do”. There is a never ending list of responsibilities and steps that have to happen.

In this fullness, I also have to honor my body. She is asking for hydration. She is asking for nourishment regularly. She is asking for movement and MELT. She is asking for breaks and some time outside. She is asking for my strength routine. She is asking for time with Spirit.

If I want to have the capacity to navigate all of the things I want to be doing and holding, I have to make space and prioritize what is being asked of me.

Even if I would rather NOT. Even if it feels easier to just write one more email, or make one more phone call, fill out one more form or check one more thing off the list.

Pausing, taking some space and honoring what I know to be true is THE way to maximize my energy and capacity.

Our bodies are SO used to us overriding and ignoring what is actually being communicated. When we do this over time we then feel crummy, stressed out, overloaded, burnt, etc.

What if we could invite in kindness and meet ourselves with what we actually need to thrive and function at a high level?

What kind of capacity could be possible if we paid attention when signs pop up asking us to listen to our body?

This week I’m committed to taking space to deeply listen to my body and then honor what is being asked of me, even if that bumps up against my drive for productivity.

Are you looking for some support as you reconnect with your body and your truth?

Reach out! I have 2 spaces open to step into a 3 or 6 month virtual Somatic Coaching journey. Whether you are looking for space as you navigate transitions, step out in an expanded way, process the unexpected, manage stress, overwhelm, or negative thinking, self-doubts, illness, and/or chronic pain I have you covered.
